Olivaria, the Olive Oil and Vegetable Oil Exhibition will be held from 21 March to 3 April at the International Food and Drinks Exhibition at the Barcelona Exhibition Centre.
This is one of the most important events of the year for olive oil and serves the purpose of presenting products to and promoting commercial contacts with markets where Spanish olive oil is currently in great demand.
Olivaria 2014 will showcase more than 100 oils from different Spanish regions and, as in previous editions, the exhibition will feature all types of vegetable oils, premium extra virgin olive oils and the best varieties and protected designations of origin (PDOs).
One of the main activities scheduled for this event will be the Oil Bar, where tastings will be offered of both PDO and non-PDO oils, assisted by descriptive and explanatory leaflets. This activity will also allow trends, varieties and packaging formats to be discovered, in addition to innovative labelling that demonstrates the dynamic nature of the industry as it adapts to global consumer tastes.
Olivaria 2014 opening hours will be from 10am to 7pm for visitors and from 9am to 8pm for exhibitors.
